HOME
I'm staring out into the night,
And trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
and feeling good don't ever cost a thing,
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.
I'm going home to the place where I belong,
where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm running from you know I think you got me all wrong,
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.

Breaking a promise.
I know I said I won't be back until my As are over, but... I was blog surfing during lunch and I came across some blogs talking about farewell assembly and all that. Funny how life works, 'cos I never wanted to come here. Remember telling myself that whatever it was, I won't go to a neighbourhood jc. Thought that my first 3 months in PJ would just be a transit, some place to have fun and mess around before heading off to greener pastures. Of course I've wondered what it would have been like for me at some other college, maybe someplace "better". But at the end of the day, the friends I've made here give me so many precious memories and I really won't exchange them for anything. The times we've spent over at each other's places, messing around in the canteen during breaks, the hockey trainings, the late night debates preparations, playing soccer every chance we got and skipping remedials, studying in class... these memories will follow me for a lifetime.
So here's a shoutout to those people who've left footsteps in my life...
To the hockey girls: I know we didn't achieve what we set out to do in the beginning of the year, but we can be proud of the way we fought tooth and nail throughout the tournment. There were differences off the pitch, but we worked throught it and hopefully all that remains at the end of the day are the wonderful memories of the times we had together. It's been a great honour to play together with all of you.
To the debators: Never thought that debating would become one of the great passions of my life, but it has and debating with all of you, no matter the occasions, have been one of my fondest memories of the last 2 years.
To the mukas: Thank you guys for accepting me as a part of the clique, I realise that at times, we may rub each other the wrong way, but I hope that these friendships last a lifetime (even if you ARE a malaysian HAHAHAHAH). Not many guys can accept me hanging around like I did, but you guys did so you guys are pretty cool. Cheers to more soccer, lame ass jokes and playing around with food during breaktimes.
These are the people who've shaped me and defined my life in PJ. Knowing them is one of the best things that I will ever have. A few more weeks... and everyone will start to live our lives apart, no more coming to school and hanging out, running around the soccer field or talking cock in the classroom... but I'll never forget any of this.
