HOME
I'm staring out into the night,
And trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
and feeling good don't ever cost a thing,
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.
I'm going home to the place where I belong,
where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm running from you know I think you got me all wrong,
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.

Welcome back.
Well, it's time for school again. The same old routine of sleeping too little, procrascinating too often and nerding far too inadequately. Come to think of it, this will be my last term in a school uniform ever. It's a pity that these last 3 months will be spent in a perpetual haze of panic, worrying about and nerding for the upcoming As, instead of taking this time to enjoy and appreciate the value of being a jc student since I won't be one much longer.
But since life's all about learning to deal with the shit that comes along with it, I suppose I'll just have to make the best out of it.
Speaking of which, the past week's been pretty hectic and very miserable so I'm glad it's finally over. A little bit of breathing space now before we get into war mode. Hmms yesterday was good, I watched scary movie 4 and had a good time in town with the guys. Today was spent either asleep, at the optician's or shuttling between my house and the function room. I'm annoyed with being a porter, going up and down while they sit on their asses and drink cheap red wine in plastic cups. But what I particularly detest about their presence in the house is that they had the balls to bring durian into my sacred domain, to contiminate my room with that disgusting smell. No offense to durian lovers, but it just ain't my thang you know? I absolutely cannot stand the smell of durian. YUCKS.
But seeing as to how my dad just bought me new specs a couple of hours ago, I was quite willingly to put in a cameo appearance as the obedient daughter (don't roll your eyes, everyone has their price, no?), even though there was a lot of swearing underneath my breath and my eyeballs were on the verge of rolling across the function room floor. A hasty escape to my room minimised my agony, and I know now the resourceful nature of man when in dire straits.
I'm finally heading to the gym tmrw, but my body is strangely achy. I think I haven't been exercising for too long, so I suppose this is my form of withdrawal syndrome - as addicted as I am to the rush of adrenaline that comes with all the sweat and pain. I need to tone up, and I need to work on my endurance for the tournment on the 15th.
Oh that reminds me. I need to snooze. (:
the sweet escape
